Virtual Environments & Events

Good morning, everyone!  I’m new to Lighthouse!  Let me introduce myself.  My name is Morgan Will and I am the new Director of Operations at Lighthouse Conferencing.  I’m very excited to join this awesome and talented team.  My goal here is to make sure we live our values every day through our focus on customer service and educating our clients on everything we have to offer so they can make smart and informed decisions about their communications needs…and to make sure their meetings won’t suck.

We have a lot of great blog posts already up on our site that have come from such people as our Chief Meeting Officer, Marc Gutman, and our Client Success Manager, Jackson Gonda.  I have been rapidly getting up to speed on everything our company has to offer and I have to tell you, one thing really caught my eye – Virtual Events and Environments.  This stuff is cool!  As I learn more about them, it really makes sense to me how the Virtual landscape can help our customers reach several different audiences more frequently and with a variety of content that is just unbelievable!

As a child of the 80’s and 90’s, when I hear the word “virtual” I think of a really bad Russell Crowe movie (the name escapes me) and I think of those crazy video games at Dave and Busters that my friends all wanted to play that made our parents cringe.  I think it was the $10 price tag for 10 minutes of play.  These days, however, I think of all the ways that Executives, Recruiters, Corporate Communications leaders, and Product Geniuses can get their visions out to people all over the world.  It is really mind blowing how much “virtual” has become a “reality” for the business world!

Over these next several posts I plan to look at a variety of uses for these Virtual Events and try not to get too excited about how cool they are (I promise nothing!).  Trying to connect leaders and visionaries to the audiences they deserve to have is a passion of mine.  If any of the topics I cover are interesting to you, please do not hesitate to give me a shout.  I can be reached at mwill@lighthouseconferencing.com.  Also, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.

I look forward to providing insight around these Virtual Events and Environments to our customers and anyone who is interested in learning about how these types of events can help you get your most critical messages and visions out to the world…and having some fun while doing it!
