Craft Events, The Craft Brewer Of Virtual Events

My last blog post was the first in a two part series that explained how Lighthouse is the “craft brewer” provider of virtual events.  I’ve had so much fun discussing that analogy with current clients and new prospects the past few weeks.  In case you missed that blog post, the general idea is that the same way a craft brewer takes pride in the fact that each glass showcases the creativity and passion of its maker, and the complexity of its ingredients, Lighthouse creates “craft events” and each one takes on a life of it’s own as we pour our heart and soul into the essence of it.

To wrap up this short series we’re going to take a closer look at HOW Lighthouse virtual events are just like a craft beer….unique and one-of-a-kind.  We’ll even go into a few examples of how every client can get a custom event crafted specifically for their tastes.

At Lighthouse, we have been able to differentiate and separate ourselves from the “macro” companies that are just interested in “scaling up”.  Or they claim that their “out of the box” platform can meet the needs for every event a client wants to host.  But it doesn’t work that way!  Every client event has very detailed and specific attributes that make it unique.  The event itself almost takes on a life of it’s own in the crafting stages and it will become clear what needs to be done to make this custom event a winner.  This is the secret sauce!  This is where our White Glove team is almost reacting and adjusting to the event as it develops and manifests, and where their expertise becomes the difference between an event that is “just good enough” and a true home run!

Let’s look at a few examples where the Lighthouse team transformed what could’ve been a “just good enough” virtual event into a craft event:

Virtual Tradeshow For Automotive Industry

If you’ve been following our blog over the past 6 months you know that one of our biggest new passions is virtual environment conferencing, specifically virtual tradeshows!  The reasoning behind that is the insane level of customization that is available to the hosts, which allows them to take their big ideas and dreams and make them come to life.  Virtual trade shows with Lighthouse are the essence of “craft”.  You would’ve thought our client was starring in an episode of “Pimp My Virtual Trade Show” with the level of customization they had going on.  From the high res images of their actual office buildings used as the trade show background template to the custom intro videos that featured green-screen technology for the CEO’s greeting to attendees, this virtual event was so custom-made that Xzibit would’ve been jealous!  (Ok- enough MTV reality show references).

Virtual Training & Certification Course For Association

We’ve talked in length about numerous ways virtual learning and online education allows you to “go green” and save money on time and travel….but that’s not the point of this blog.  Instead, I’d rather tell you about how we revolutionized an association by taking a time consuming, expensive and dull in-person training and certification course, and brought it back to life with a fresh look and feel using cutting edge technology and customized testing.  Our association client was in a rut with the same “ho-hum” certification course they’d been running for years.  Then they found Lighthouse and we introduced a virtual environment that allowed them to create a custom online certification course with interactive video, tests and quizzes, and even a cool certificate of completion after the students passed the course.  Our client had no idea this level of customization and engagement was even possible for a virtual event and now this is the primary way they train and certify members.

Live-stream Webcast Event

Personally, live-stream webcast events are one of the most exciting things I do.  Taking a live in-person event that’s happening somewhere in the world and streaming it in real-time to a virtual environment where anyone from around the globe can attend as if they were in the same room.  You want to talk about craft events…this is it!  On-site support, 3-camera broadcast, international attendees, custom branding….the works!  This level of coordination combined with cutting edge technology is the secret sauce of our White Glove Event Team that makes virtual events like this possible.  Not every company has what it takes to pull this off….it is truly craft!

I totally understand that it’s a bold statement to crown Lighthouse as the “craft brewer of virtual event providers”, but when you do what we do everyday the analogy feels natural.  This is why we get out of bed everyday….to create custom virtual events that bring your big ideas and dreams to the world.  If you’ve already had a dream about what your craft virtual event looks like give us a call or click here so we can make it happen.  Or if you’ve been to a cool virtual event recently and loved it tell us about it in the comments below.
