Meet Marc Gutman with Lighthouse Conferencing:
AMA: Hi Marc. Why did you join the Colorado AMA?
Marc: It just felt like chocolate and peanut butter. That’s to stay, it just felt natural to be involved with the Colorado AMA. We work with marketers and their events all over the country but we’re a Colorado company and wanted to make sure that we were meeting and helping those marketers in our own community.
We are considered a vital part of the marketing team, and sometimes we are the marketing team, by our clients. As a result, we kinda love marketing.
AMA: Why did you decide to become a sponsor?
Marc: When we first approached the Colorado AMA about getting involved, we quickly learned that our objectives were in lockstep with the AMA. The association was looking for companies to become sponsors but sponsor engagement and participation were also important. This is in direct alignment with how we approach these types of relationships as well.
As a company that’s working with marketers on a daily basis, we wanted to get even closer and fully understand all the challenges marketers face on a daily basis, even those not related to our business, so we can make sure we understand the full scope of what’s both helping and hindering marketers in real time.
AMA: What value does the association provide sponsors?
Marc: We use the term situational fluency in our business all the time. Meeting different marketing professionals face-to-face, hearing about their goals and objectives, and getting our name out in the market place are all components of being able to talk the talk or gain situational fluency. As you know, marketing is changing and evolving in real time, so gaining access to the association’s membership to hear about these changes as they happen is extremely valuable. The association provides insight and exposure to the greatest state’s greatest marketers, and where else can you get that?
AMA: Why is sponsorship exposure important to your business?
Marc: As everyone reading this knows, there’s no nitro button in marketing (if you know of one, please let me know!). Lead generation and marketing efforts are the sum of the parts. We view our sponsorship as one of the key components. Involvement in the Colorado AMA complements our existing strategy to connect with more marketers, get the Lighthouse name out in Colorado, and hopefully help out and provide value back to the association.
AMA: Brag about Lighthouse Conferencing – What would you like to say about your business?
Marc: We love marketers and online marketing events. The Lighthouse Conferencing team has been involved with webinars and web-conferencing lead generation since the beginning. We’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and know where all the skeletons are buried. Our core philosophy is not to throw you the keys to the race car and wish you luck with a slap on the back as you race around the track at 200+ mph only to go into the wall!
